About the club
What is Ashland Town FC?
A community-rooted soccer club in Ashland, Virginia. We run competitive travel teams, winter futsal and a PRO23 squad competing against semi-professional clubs, and we are developing new programs for younger players.
Where do you play?
All programs are based at Poor Farm Park in Ashland, which has lighted Bermuda grass fields. Teams use Field 1 and Field 2 depending on age group. PRO23 home matches are at Hanover High School Stadium.
Do you have girls teams?
Yes. We are actively forming both boys and girls teams across multiple age groups. Whether a specific team forms depends on tryout turnout, and we merge age groups where that lets us take more families.
Do I have to live in Ashland?
No. The club is rooted in Ashland and Hanover County and we give preference to local players, but we welcome serious players from the broader region.
Tryouts and joining
When are tryouts?
The main window is each May. We also hold supplemental tryouts through the year for age groups with roster openings.
What if we miss the tryout?
Contact us. We can usually arrange a one-on-one training-session evaluation for any age group that still has room.
Does my player need experience?
For futsal, none at all. For travel teams, tryouts are open to everyone and we evaluate on the day rather than on history.
Fees and uniforms
What does it cost?
The 2025–26 travel season fee was $1,250. The required uniform kit runs to roughly $120 through soccer.com and is ordered separately.
Can we pay monthly?
Yes. Monthly payment plans are available for all programs — ask when you register and we will set it up from the start.
Is financial aid available?
Yes, for families who demonstrate genuine need. Applying has no bearing on player evaluation or selection, and enquiries are handled confidentially by the club director.

What is the fastest way to reach you?
Text message. We respond to texts considerably faster than calls or email. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 2 PM.
How do we get schedules and team news?
Through Team Tracker, our own club app. Every travel family gets an account at the start of the season.
